TOPIC: PROMOTING MARITAL BLISS
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.”

Promoting marital bliss involves nurturing a strong, loving relationship between partners. Here are some ways to achieve this:
1. Effective Communication: Pay attention to your partner’s needs, thoughts, and feelings. Regularly discuss your feelings, concerns, and experiences.
2. Spend Quality Time Together: Spend quality time together, away from distractions. Engage in hobbies or activities you both enjoy.
3. Show Appreciation and Gratitude: Regularly thank your partner for their efforts and presence in your life. Show love and appreciation through small gestures, like surprise gifts or notes.
4. Foster Intimacy: Build a deep emotional connection by sharing your thoughts and feelings. Maintain a healthy physical connection through affection and intimacy.
5. Support Each Other: Encourage and support your partner’s goals, dreams, and challenges. Work together as a team to overcome obstacles and achieve common goals.
6. Practice Forgiveness and Understanding: Practice forgiveness when mistakes are made, and work towards healing and moving forward. Seek to understand your partner’s perspective and be empathetic.
7. Keep the Romance Alive: Plan surprises and thoughtful gestures to keep the romance alive. Plan regular romantic trips or weekend getaways.

As a couple, you can seek pastoral assistance if the need be. Consider seeking the help of a marriage counsellor or therapist if you encounter challenges you can’t resolve on your own.
By incorporating these practices into your relationship, you can promote marital bliss and build a strong, lasting bond with your partner.
